I Am Materialistic (Green) 2008 Edition
Big ups to family and friends for bringing the much desired ProWresLove, DVD-style this Christmas. I scored the first and ONLY season of the sorely missed Wrestling Society X program, as well as the seven-disc Eddy Guerrero super duper mega set, to go nicely with the aforementioned Edge: A Decade of Decadence three-disc collection of joy and sunshine. I'm in HOG HEAVEN, Y'ALL.

RAW is Trish
Lucas, Amanda and Franz need to visit Trish's yoga studio while they're in town. The RAW main event angle/match was so much fun, but it just reminded me, much like I'm sure it will when I sit down to watch the new Edge: A Decade of Decadence DVD tomorrow, of how good the WWE product used to be. Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?

Sigh

Cheer!
2008 Concedes to 2007
I was just glancing at my blogging history and it looks like I'm going to fall a little short of the 173 entries of one year past. That's okay. Topping 150 has been quite an effort these past eleven and a half months, and I'm just glad I've been able to stay connected to everyone via this portal.
Now, if only Dave could get up and running.

Wrestling Night: The Preview

Money.
I had literally no idea what to screen for Wrestling Night this month until I was just randomly listening to a Bryan and Vinny Show from last year where Bryan Alvarez was ranting and raving about how impossible it would be to create another Miss Elizabeth in today's wrestling business, and he began reminiscing about this show in particular. That sealed the deal. Ah, memories. Seven o' clock, you know the drill.

Grounded For Life
I've decided to put myself in time out until Turkey Day, as during a walk this afternoon I passed out and smacked my head on the pretty cobblestone in Iuka Park. I'd really like to avoid a compound concussion, so I'm going to lay low from here until Saturday. So, if you have any interest in hanging out with me before then, it'll have to be at my house. I'M ON LOCK DOWN.

Don't Worry 'Bout Consumption, Even If They Call It T.B.
I was just awakened by the oddest nightmare. I was sitting in my TV room talking to someone (I've already forgotten whom), when Scorpius of Farscape infamy began harassing and terrorizing me, including at one point picking up former professional wrestler and current missing person Perry Saturn and swinging him at me like a bat.

HOME RUN!
Unfortunately, my subconscious must not have paid the proper licensing fees to the Henson people, as my version of Scorpius was kind of generic, like the Gobots of the Uncharted Territories or something.
Also, I came home after the Browns game this afternoon and almost immediately went to sleep, so now I'm up and full of energy. Does anybody want to watch the SLAMMYS edition of RAW with me tonight? 8-11, and best of all, FREE! Takers? Kanes? HAHAHAHAHA! No, seriously. Let me know. Holla at ya boy.

The Case Is Closed, I Don't Negotiate With Love
It's too bad TB is so much less rampant these days, because it used to inspire awesome music.
So, MLB Power Pros 2008. I'm not even sure how to describe it. I guess if I had to boil it down to a few words, those would be "wacky life simulator that happens to be rooted in the world of professional baseball." It has three different career modes, one where you take on the role of a real major leaguer and play out the remainder of his years in the league. Pretty fun, but I've only messed around with about half a season of it. The second is where you create your own rookie and build him up to a hopeful hall of fame career. And then, the final, and most frustrating option... SUCCESS MODE. It's driving me insane because I always get fired before making it out of AA ball, but the storyline is so wacky and awesome that it continually brings me back for another kick at the can. Some day I WILL defeat the evil Jonathan and win the love of Lucy!
Also, it looks like this.

I Got Pretty Tired
I'm pulling myself from my sick bed to write this, so it will be brief. I just felt that, in light of the events of the past couple days, I needed to make some kind of comment.
I have found the Lord once more.
And His name... MLB Power Pros 2008. More tomorrow, assuming I can pry myself away/keep down food.
