May 13th is Ring of Honor's return date to Dayton, so let's go ahead and get tickets ordered pronto. Can anyone think off the top of their head of any conflicts with this date?
Apparently the show last night weas pretty rockin, and again I apologize for all the confusion. But let's (those who want to go at least) make sure it doesn't happen again. The quick turnaround for another show is pretty nice, too. Tickets go on sale Monday.

Icy cold grip of death

I pulled pall bearer duty for the first time in my life at my great Uncle Frank's funeral on Wednesday, and as advertised, I was not a rassler.
This was really just an excuse to throw up a Paul Bearer picture, and I'm sure you all appreciated it.
In other news, Jason admitted to liking Farscape, after months of weak smack talk without ever having seen it. Three episodes in, and this is first season, mind you, the weakest season by far, and he's digging it. The Farscape is truly too powerful for any one man to resist.

Way too hot

Travelin' Man
Old people drop like flies. My uncle Gale passed away a few weeks ago and his funeral was over the weekend. It was a big military to do out at Arlington National Cemetery with a fly over and the 18 gun salute and what not, so he was sent off in the way he'd have wanted. My Uncle Frank just died on Friday afternoon though, thankfully of old age. Anyway, I'll be in Huntington for Tuesday until Wednesday afternoon, so if anyone calls and can't get ahold of me, you know why. I feel like I should post SOMETHING though...
Aside from Road to Eltingville, I think that Robot Chicken might be the funniest thing I've ever seen on Adult Swim. I don't know if it'll hold up over the long haul (Eltingville might not have), but at 11 minutes a week, it might be just perfect.
Anyway, talk to y'all when I return.

Ring of Failure
For once, my fighting spirit has fled me and I know not why. Maybe because I waited too long to order tickets. Nothing left for Dayton but General Admission, so I think the Ring of Honor field trip is off. Maybe next time, probably mid-summer. I'm sorry everyone. I blew it this time.

Hump Day (Yeah, weak)
Well, it's pretty clear that Big Dave couldn't be properly celebrated in a mere day, so a week later, I'm back with new hotness. Well, sort of.
I don't have a lot to say, but I do think I'd be doing a disservice if I didn't pay my respects to Ossie Davis. Best portrayal of JFK ever. Sorry "Clone High", but it's true. He was a shining light in the civil rights movement and his impact on American culture will never be forgotten, I'm sure. I liked him on "Evening Shade" back in the day, too.
We've got EIGHT folks rollin' out to Dayton on the 25th. That's insane. The rings will never be more honorable than that night, I tell ya what.
I bought Grudge-Gu. It's still creepy.
I saw "Boogey Man". It was also creepy, but there's a reason I seperated this and the above item. It SUCKED. It had great atmosphere in many portions of the movie, but my God was it just a big batch of nothing happening.
The "Scrubs" theme is actually a full song. It kind of sucks, but I really like it. Like, if it had come out in 2004, it might have beaten out both Rachel Stevens' "Some Girls" AND Britney Spears' "Toxic" as my favorite pop song of the year.
I should never have undertaken the Blogaversary post. It's way too big, and nobody is going to read it. Also, it's not going to be finished for another week, probably. I shouldn't have built it up at all.
John Cena's name has been bandied about for the next Predator movie. Okay, Cena's no Rock. He's more like a nise Mark Wahlberg, but if the Predator turned on his camouflage and said "You Can't See Me" I would party and freak out at my local cineplex.
I guess Doctor Phil did a show about someone's husband being addicted to wrestling today. Fuck Doctor Phil, and fuck the thought process that leads one to thinking that's a problem in the first place.
NBA Street Volume 3 is out and I don't have it yet. This presents a problem. A PROBLEM THAT WILL BE REMEDIED! Probably this weekend. That series is so awesome.
At this point, "Spirit of Radio" is playing on Winamp. Such a better song than "Tom Sawyer".
I have a huge crush on Soleil Moon Frye this week. "Punky Brewster" Season 2. Own it on DVD today!
