Brief UFC 95 Thoughts

UFC 95 was a pretty entertaining show if you're just into action and not personalities or stars. If you are, probably best to pass on this one, though it was free on Spike, so nothing to lose but a couple hours of your time. Since this was a numbered event, as opposed to a Fight Night special or something like that, they felt it incumbent to try and sell Joe Stevenson versus Diego Sanchez like a legitimate main event. I understand that they have to do what they have to do, but what a joke. This fight was the very definition of a either a lower level card main event, or something airing second on a real show.

In all fairness, there were a lot of finishes, including several nasty knockouts and one super-cool triangle choke. So if you happen to catch a replay, I'd say it's worth watching.

Thanks for the non-spoiler review, man. I'll probably watch it now, based exlusively on "several nasty knockouts and one super-cool triangle choke".

That would be super cool if it were 3 guys all choking one another simultaneously.

Why, you "ingrete"

lol, that made me think about DDP, Jarrett, Flair, and Sting doing the triple sleeper spot at Spring Stampede '99.

Hogan, not Jarrett.

Or Shane Douglas, Sabu and Terry Funk doing it 5 years earlier.
