I was just thinking about Joe Lieberman's "Independent status", and realized that it would be a great strategic move for him to show up in Washington in January, and right before casting his first vote on something, he rips off his suit jacket to reveal a Bush/Cheney '04 campaign t-shirt, hit Chafee with a chair for being weak willed, and then caucus with the Republicans for his entire term.
Joe did say that we should call him a Democrat today, but it could be just to throw us off the scent. Damn you, pro wrestling.
