BLOGTION

Forty blogs in forty days. I'm sad that the streak ended there, but I have no regrets. I blogged hard and I blogged well! Years from now, people will look back at this period and see majesty in my efforts. Of this... I am sure.

Point of Order

Just a quick reminder/preview, for tomorrow night's festivities. It's once again coming up on the second Tuesday, and that of course means Broin' Down. This time it's Broin' Down 21: BROely Legal. Thank you, thank you. That one was mine. We'll convene at Ruby's at 7:00 pm, as per usual, and drink and make merry until 10:00 pm. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE, Y CHROMOSOME HAVING FOLKS

Harold Ramis: False Prophet

During Phil Connors' final February 2nd in what I once believed to be a great movie, Groundhog Day, he presents a young couple with a pair of tickets to "Wrestle Mania" as a wedding gift. The bride excitedly says something to the effect of, "Oh, we were going to be in Pittsburgh anyway!"

PITTSBURGH.

Groundhog Day was made in 1992. That year's Wrestlemania took place in Indianapolis. The year before was Los Angeles, and the year after was Las Vegas. HOW CAN WE EVER TRUST YOU AGAIN, RAMIS? Or Bill Murray, for that matter?

Speaking of wrestling, I'm actually quite excited for tomorrow's RAW. Undertaker versus Randy Orton, William Regal versus CM Punk for the Intercontinental title, and the first appearance by Ric Flair at a WWE event since last June. WOOOOOOOOOO!

Shameless

I'm using a laptop at Jason's parents' house, so this will be brief. Again, just keeping the streak going. I LOVE BLOG.

There are like twelve dogs in this room, but no shirtless dudes. WOOOOOOOOOO. Ric Flair!

I Love You So Hard I Can't See Straight

Acupuncture is great. I don't know that it's really doing anything for me health-wise, but it's relaxing, I get to take a nap, and my doctor is a stone-cold fox. She added a needle right over my upper lip today, so while she was gone I couldn't stop staring at it. Eventually I imagined that I was able to shoot silver lasers from my mouth, but stopped short of making any kind of accompanying noise. I have excellent self-control.

SEE YOU TOMORROW!

Hittin' it and quittin' it

I'm going to make this quick. In fact, I'm only online now to keep the 36-day streak of awesome going.

I woke up feeling fairly decent at about 6:30 this morning, went to Adam's to pick up my i-Pod and watch the first half of Iron Eagle. From there it was down to Patrick J's for a noon lunch with Ashley, whom I hadn't seen in about six weeks. After that, I came home and was basically hated on by my body for the rest of the day. Acupuncture tomorrow. Hopefully the needle gauge doesn't go up again.

Tales of Failure and Foolishness

Dave called me yesterday before my second appointment with Dr. Yang and said "I have the greatest thing ever. God bless Walmart." It was decided that he would not tell me what he had procured and instead I would have to wait until he came over later on that afternoon. And upon his arrival, had he over-hyped his purchase? You tell me.

Actually, don't. Because some people are just haters. Anyway, the correct answer would be "no". He had not. Packed in with the DVD were two (2) pairs of 3-D glasses, which we figured would nicely supplement the two (2) pairs we already had left over from the My Bloody Valentine 3D adventure of a couple weeks back. What to do with four (4) pairs of glasses and just two people?

Holler at Lucas and Amanda down the street... and down that other street.

So, it was decided we'd watch the movie at 8:00, and Davekwon and I were just giddy with anticipation. We'd both viewed the film multiple times, but never as GOD INTENDED.

The couple arrived, and we settled in for the horror. And nothing happened. I did not see snakes leaping out at me through the screen, nor the handle of a broom coming dangerously close to whacking me in the skull. You see, our 3D glasses (mine and Dave's that is) were not like the other 3D glasses. I really don't understand how it all works, but it was uncool. On top of that, the 3D the other glasses were actually receiving threatened to give Lucas a headache. So there we were. Four people with the same number pairs of glasses, and it was all just so futile. Know what we did? We went back tot he main menu and selected the 2D presentation instead.

A part of me died.

Now, onto the promised foolishness. It is brief and inexplicable.

I started playing Resident Evil: Code Veronica yesterday. I took probably five years off my lifespan from the stress. And then... I played some more today. What on earth is wrong with me?

What is that, a squirrel?

Over the nine year course of trying to figure out what the heck is going on with me and trying to stop it, I've seen two Chinese specialists. One, a neurologist at the Cleveland Clinic back in 2001. The other, Dr. Yang, my acupuncturist. Why do I bring this up? RACISM, perhaps? Nay. It's the simple fact that these are the only two people who use the term "DROP ATTACKS" to describe my predicament. Mere coincidence, or the sign of a greater Chinese conspiracy? Only Kehn knows for sure. Until this question is answered, look out below!

A Dreamcast Update

Been a while since I've done one of these, though it's been a while since I've gotten anything new. Today, however, I began hunting with a vengeance. The haul?

Photobucket

Not the actual cabinet. I don't have the technology.

Photobucket

I think I actually owned this at one point.

Photobucket

AWESOME. I wish I had known eight years ago how good this was.

Photobucket

Really just for completion's sake. I've had the superior sequel for ages now, but it's always good to know where you come from.

I also nabbed a Saturn emulator that I'm toying with, trying to figure out loading ROMs and whatnot onto it. Fingers crossed.

One Down, Eleven to Go

In case you didn't notice, I totally slayed the month of January, 31 to 0. That's right, a big ol' goose egg. What a pace I'm cutting!

I am going to watch a show tonight that I've dodged websites and phone calls to avoid potential spoilers for. Due to Buffalo Wild Wings being at standing room only last night, the mystery of whether Georges St. Pierre's Canadian brand of ass-kickery is better than BJ Penn's Hawaiian coconut jujitsu is still an open case for me. Thankfully Keith is also out of the loop so together we will indulge in an evening of tape-delayed violence and mayhem. To the DVD player! Away!
